Vargas Premium
Tinto de Verano was invented in Córdoba in the 1920s (100 years ago) under the name Vargas.
The origin of the name Vargas, associated with the tinto de verano wine in Córdoba, comes from the “Venta Vargas”, run by Mr. Federico Vargas, who began mixing the red wine with a soda to make it more refreshing and brighten up summer nights.
At Bodegas Mezquita we wanted to pay tribute to this simple Cordoban cocktail.
